400 “Sidewalk Empire” booklets have been produced! These high-quality booklets were made possible by very generous financial donations – so all author’s proceeds from these 400 booklets will go to charity.
For now, you can get a booklet from two amazing comic book stores in San Francisco:
Mission: Comics and Art in the Mission District
Isotope: The Comic Book Lounge in Hayes Valley

Congrats! So great that you are giving to charity, too. How cool of you!
Hey Eddie,
I just wanted to let you know, I stumbled across SIDEWALK EMPIRE at Isotope Comics on Wednesday. When I saw it, I thought Indie comic set in San Francisco, with a talking turtle? Fuck YES! I grabbed it immediately.
Finally pulled it out of my stack of comics yesterday, and I read it straight through — Now I’m a fan for life. I immediately gave it to my wife, and she read it straight through., and we we spent the rest of the afternoon tossing references to SIDEWALK EMPIRE back and forth, laughing our asses off. Thanks for this great comic.
Despite the grim ending… there’s more right? He survived the explosion? Bill the Cat style? Please? Tell me I can read more turtle adventures down the road?
Either way, I’ll be picking up a bunch of these, so as to give them out as xmas gifts. This was too much fun to not share with people.
Thanks again, for giving me one of the funniest afternoon’s I’ve had in a long time.
Best,
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy,
I’m happy you liked “Sidewalk Empire” so much – I do have a second story arc in mind, but its creation depends on a few things that I’m sorting out right now. If those things don’t pan out, I will probably shelve “Sidewalk Empire: Streets” for the next year and move on to other projects that have been on the back burner in 2011 (for instance, “Wish the World”).
Thanks for your enthusiastic comments, and hope you enjoy my future work, whatever it may be!
