Starting tomorrow, the website will publish a page of “Wish the World” every Wednesday for the next five weeks!
Two more awesome stores carry “Sidewalk Empire” booklets – they’re unique local places to do your holiday shopping too!
Comix Experience in Lower Haight
Needles & Pens in the Mission District
And I’m diligently working on projects for 2012, I promise. More updates upcoming.
400 “Sidewalk Empire” booklets have been produced! These high-quality booklets were made possible by very generous financial donations – so all author’s proceeds from these 400 booklets will go to charity.
For now, you can get a booklet from two amazing comic book stores in San Francisco:
Mission: Comics and Art in the Mission District
Isotope: The Comic Book Lounge in Hayes Valley
Shared Stories, a program sponsored by the non-profit Chinese Progressive Association of NYC, empowers high school youth to document immigration stories directly from their communities. I was invited to speak about advocacy and art, and I shared my “Sidewalk Empire” booklets as well.
Shared Stories is an important community program, and this has been my most memorable experience of the last year…see the fb page for more pictures!
